Thank you for your interest in what we are doing here at Coffee Ambassadors.  We are passionate about what we do and are under the conviction that the building of this organization is a task to which we have been designated both the responsibility and the pleasure of carrying out.

Coffee Ambassadors began while researching the coffee industry in order to prepare a business plan to open a coffee shop in Chicago. During our research, we became more familiar with the poverty that exists at the coffee farmers level.  Our dream quickly changed from desiring to open a coffee shop to wanting to work directly with farmers, connecting them to buyers who would pay them a just wage for their share in producing a cup of coffee.

I was blessed to meet and visit an established farmer in Guatemala who has developed his farm into a very respected and sought out origin of specialty coffee.  In many ways we look to this farm as a model for the structure and development of the cooperatives we are in pursuit of establishing through Coffee Ambassadors.

Coffee Ambassadors is an organization that works side by side with coffee farmers from all coffee growing regions of the world. We are partnering with nationals to develop coffee cooperatives for local farmers to bring their crop to for processing and then to be sold to coffee roasters who will pay a premium price for this premium product. We serve to directly link the consumer to the producer, bypassing other coffee buyers who pay the lowest possible price to the farmers, creating a way for them to live outside the detriments of poverty. These farmers will finally be paid a wage that they have well deserved.

On the cooperative land we will have a produce farm and fruit bearing trees that the coffee growers and pickers may harvest from freely to feed their families.  The cooperative land will also be a place where schools, medical clinics and even orphanages will exist.

The grounds of these cooperatives will not only be used to help farmers materially, and physically, but more importantly spiritually. We intend to plant churches, teach Bible seminars, and hold evangelistic events. We will constantly welcome short-term missions teams to serve to develop these cooperative facilities and to minister to the farmers and locals.
